Ned leverages his past experience and lessons learned in corporate finance, sales, and marketing to help portfolio companies avoid potholes and optimize growth. Before joining Brook, he served as lead investor in FreeMarkets OnLine, Constant Contact and a series of other successful ventures. In the early ’90s Ned worked in Morgan Stanley’s Global Asset Management Division, where he helped market more than 25 IPOs, including Netscape and the spinout of Lucent Technologies from AT&T.
Ned enjoys contributing to the growth of New England’s innovation economy. He is a director and steering committee member of The Massachusetts Medical Device Development Center, and he sits on the Executive Committee member of the University of Massachusetts Technology Advisory Council.
Bob is the co-founder of DataMentors, which rebranded as V12 Data in 2016. He co-founded DataMentors in 1999 after success in building OKRA Marketing Corporation, a database marketing firm. While at OKRA, Bob designed and developed the company’s initial mainframe and personal computer (PC) based householding and PC based access systems. When John H. Harland Company acquired OKRA in 1996, Bob was retained to manage the Tampa office.
Bob began his technical career in 1979 as a consultant with Time Sharing Resources (TSR), a New York-based time-sharing company. During his tenure with TSR, Bob worked with more than a dozen Fortune 500 companies and oversaw diversified areas of communication network design, communication satellite traffic management, forecasting, market research, general ledger and sales tracking.
Bob received a BA in Mathematics from William Paterson University, and a MS in Computer Science from Farleigh Dickinson University.
Dr Stryker is the Founder and CEO of the Venture Development Center, Inc. He is the nation’s leading expert on the uses of data to support decision making. He was recently recognized by the marketing industry as the Data Innovator of the Year. Through his firm, he advises many of the major information services providers. His clients include Acxiom, LexisNexis, TransUnion and many others. In addition, many of the world’s largest brands look to his firm to insure they are familiar with and using the best elements of Big Data. These clients include, IBM, Cisco, Disney, JP Morgan Chase, Time Inc. and many other world class brands. He also is retained by more than 50 of the leading new data companies including Bluekai, Live Ramp, PeekYou, and Optimal.
Previously, Dr Stryker was a President of InfoGroup, was on the faculty of the Wharton School, and has served on many boards of information companies of both public and private.
Dr. Stryker received the BS and MS in Electrical Engineering and the PhD. In Computer Science from New York University.d a BA in Mathematics from William Paterson University, and a MS in Computer Science from Farleigh Dickinson University.
John Hunt joined ABRY in 2004. He is head of ABRY’s senior equity effort with responsibility for sourcing and leading transactions. Areas of focus have included cable television, film production, information services, software and telecommunications companies. Prior to joining ABRY, John was a General Partner at Boston Ventures Management, a media and communications-focused private equity fund. He is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Daniel is managing director at Bay Capital Investment Partners. Prior to joining Bay Capital Investment Partners in June of 2012, he was President of DWQ Associates, Ltd., a boutique investment banking firm focused on middle market companies, providing strategic and M & A advisory services as well as private placements of debt and equity. He has also served in several senior management roles at FleetBoston Financial, including Group Head of Fleet M&A Advisors and Fleet Corporate Advisors. Dan began his career at Fleet in commercial lending, focused on leveraged loans to the media and communications industries.
Dan is a graduate of Harvard University with a BA in Economics.
PJ joined Spring Capital in 2003 as an Associate with responsibility for investment analysis, due diligence and portfolio company administration. Previously, PJ was an associate with Brooks, Houghton and Company and held operating and financial positions within three start-up businesses at Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide and Priceline.com. He began his career in the Executive Development Program at Hannaford Brothers, Inc., a supermarket chain based in Portland, ME. PJ is a graduate of Cornell University with a BS and MBA.
Anders is broadly experienced in bringing data-driven innovation and revenue growth to clients across a range of industries. As CEO of V12 Data, Anders led the transformation of the company into an omnichannel data powerhouse and the company has since experienced double-digit growth.
Previously, Anders was Executive Vice President of MRM Worldwide, serving as Eastern Region head and Chief Growth Officer. While at MRM, Anders drove the company’s evolution by bringing data-driven innovation to clients such as the US Army, MasterCard and Kohl’s. Anders has also served as a Senior Vice President at Digitas, building CRM infrastructure and marketing success for the firm’s largest clients, including GM and AT&T Wireless.
Anders is a graduate of Bowdoin College.
Linda is on the forefront of Big Data in the media industry. Her team is engineering and running a new big data platform for Time Inc. The platform combines first, second and third-party data to enable data-driven advertising and consumer marketing. Advertising applications and customer relationship management technology are also under her leadership. She specializes in delivering large complex software solutions and engineering architecture of back-end systems. Linda spent 18 months at Amazon delivering customer financial ledger solutions at high scale and 16 years at Microsoft in Technical Program Management leadership roles. Linda has 5 patents pending, and has successfully launched over 19 software products including multiple versions of Microsoft Windows, Xbox and Office 365. She is on the board of the Institute for Social Responsibility and is a frequent speaker at women’s leadership events.
